Pass-the-Cup

Pass-the-Cup is a recreational SMS scorekeeping and game coordination service operated by TriggWorks, LLC.

Pass-the-Cup allows authorized users (known as “Commissioners”) to voluntarily create private baseball and golf scoring sessions by sending SMS commands directly to the Pass-the-Cup phone number. Players are invited to join a game by a Commissioner via text, but only after the Commissioner has confirmed the Player’s interest in participating.

Game Creation / Player Opt-In

Game Commissioners create a new baseball or golf scorekeeping game by texting one of the supported SMS keywords to the Pass-the-Cup system phone number.

Supported Commissioner commands include:

  • HELLO
  • NEW BASEBALL
  • NEW GOLF
  • HELP
  • STOP

Example:

NEW BASEBALL

Following creation of a new game, and upon receipt of an invitation, Players opt-in by replying to the text sent by the game platform via a Commissioner. Players may opt-out at any time and are not subscribed by third parties. Each participant must personally send their own SMS opt-in command join a game session.

The service sends SMS messages to interested players only after interest in participating is confirmed by the Commissioner.

Commissioner texts to Players via Pass-the-Cup system:

You have been invited to join a Pass-the-Cup game by Commissioner [COMMISSIONER NAME]. To play, reply all "JOIN X8MDM [PLAYER NAME]"

2. Player Joins a Game

Player texts:

JOIN X8MDM [PLAYER NAME]

System replies:

Pass-the-Cup Update: [PLAYER NAME] joined game session X8MDM. Reply STOP to opt-out.

3. Player Receives Game Notifications

After opting in, Players receive only transactional messages related to the game session they joined, such as:

  • game setup confirmations
  • player join notifications
  • score updates
  • standings
  • game notifications
  • final game summaries

The platform does not send marketing, promotional campaigns, or unsolicited SMS messages.

SMS Disclosure

Message frequency varies based on game activity and player participation.

Message and data rates may apply.

Reply STOP to opt-out.

Reply HELP for help.

Consent to receive SMS messages is not a condition of purchase.

Game Terms & Conditions

Overview

Pass-the-Cup and related TriggWorks SMS services are SMS-based recreational scorekeeping services. Players voluntarily initiate participation by texting supported keywords to create or join baseball and golf scoring sessions.

Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority in your jurisdiction, to create or manage game sessions. Minors may participate only with permission of a parent or legal guardian.

Consent to Receive Messages

You consent to receive SMS messages from TriggWorks only after voluntarily initiating contact by texting a supported keyword or command to the service.

Players are not subscribed by third parties and must personally initiate SMS participation themselves.

Opt-Out

You may opt-out of receiving SMS messages at any time by replying STOP to any text sent by, or that includes, the SMS system phone number.

After opting out, you will no longer receive SMS messages unless you voluntarily opt-in again by sending a supported keyword or starting a new session.

Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the service for fraudulent activity, harassment, unauthorized commercial use, unlawful gambling activity, or attempts to disrupt or abuse the platform.

Recreational Use Only

These services are intended solely for recreational and entertainment purposes.

TriggWorks does not operate gambling services, process payments, hold funds, or facilitate financial transactions between participants.

Privacy Policy

Pass-the-Cup uses SMS messaging only for transactional game-related communications initiated by game Commissioners and Players.

Mobile phone numbers and SMS consent information are used solely to provide transactional game-related messaging.

We do not sell, share, or lease your mobile number or SMS opt-in data with third parties for marketing or any purpose.

Players may opt-out at any time by replying STOP.

Players may request assistance by replying HELP.
